The Village Co. is a New Zealand babysitting platform that helps parents find trusted local babysitters. We also work with employers and hotels to make childcare easier for working families and travelling parents.

Parents tell us what they need, and we match them with background-checked sitters based on personality, availability, and location. You can book casually or use us regularly.

We currently support families in Waikato and are expanding into Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch.

No, we also offer nannying services if you need something a little more than ad hoc babysitting, as well as childcare perks for employers and babysitting services for hotels, so parents can get help whether they’re at home, at work, or travelling.

Yes. Every sitter completes ID verification and screening before joining The Village Co.
